For instance, in order to achieve higher rankings in search engines such as Google©, Microsoft Live Search©, Yahoo! Search© (and many others) posting activity is recommended weekly, at a minimum. Studies have shown, that 5-6 posts weekly are best; with , for instance, the “best” post times for North America between 17:00 and 21:00 UTC (10 AM – 2 PM Pacific Standard Time) since those times 'catch' North Americans at lunch break and just after work, peak usage times for individuals. Timings and schedules would vary for local 'target audiences'.

Not only individuals, but corporations are now embracing the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) provided by routine frequent postings and changes. Most now use 'Blogs' (Web Logs) as their main Internet/Web presence. For some, these are their only 'web presence'; for others they are an adjunct to the traditional Web Page.
